What is br.st?

    Br.st is a Twitter web-based client. You can do almost everything you can do on Twitter.com and more.

How much does it cost to use it?

    One meellion dollars... just kidding, it's free.

Do you have a bookmarklet?

Does br.st work with the new Tweetie iPhone app?

    Yes. For the Link Shortener: From the Tweetie app on your iPhone, click 'settings', then 'Url Shortening', then 'custom'. In the space provided, enter



    and be sure to use your twiiter screen name and password.

    For the Image Sharing: Click 'settings', then 'Image Service', then 'custom'. In the space provided, enter



    We also recommend that you install the Tweetie iPhone bookmarklet (it works great with our link shortener.

My Twitter avatar is not showing up correctly on my br.st profile after I changed it on Twitter?

    Logout of br.st and log back in and the new image will show up. All of the settings we pull from Twitter get refreshed when you login.

What is an aggregate link?

    An aggregate link tracks the total traffic to a destination link for all br.st users. For example if two people link to http://www.brinkster.com they will each get a different short link, but there will be one aggregate link. The aggregate link tracks the total clicks to a particular long link.

Does br.st ever retire old short links?

    No, br.st does not ever reuse shortened links. Therefore your shortened link will always work.

What is the largest size image/file I can upload?

    The upload image/file size limit is 10 MB.

I found a link that violates your Terms of Use and/or is a link to something illegal?

    There is a report abuse link under each shared image and file, alternatively you can email us at abuse@br.st. We do not allow content or links to content that is of a pornographic nature of any kind.

Are br.st links safe?

    All br.st links are filtered for spam, phishing scams, malware, and prohibited content through services like Google Safe Browsing.
